Armadale Society of Artists

Yvonne started painting about 8 years ago after retiring from working in childcare. She joined Liddelow Homestead and the watercolour class run by June Boase. She had 5 years with June and then had 2 years with Carl Haanapel and then more recently classes with Lucy Papalia. A lot of Yvonne's knowledge has been gained through the workshops she attends, some being Brian Simmons, Ian DeSouza and Lucy Papalia.

She is a member of the Armadale Society of Artists and Canning Art Group. She displays her work at several places including Armadale Society of Artists, Army Art and Perth Bone and Tissue Exhibition.

Her first love is watercolour although she has used other mediums including fabric painting. Subject matter is varied being floral, landscapes and any other subjects that appeal.

Yvonne has won quite a lot of awards at Liddelow Homestead exhibitions and more recently won first prize for the prestigious City of Melville Art Award for watercolour.
