Armadale Society of Artist’s - 2018 Annual Art Exhibition
Weekend of 27-28 October 2018, Armadale Society of Artists Inc. (ASA) held the 31st Annual Art Awards at the Greendale Centre, Armadale. The exhibition was launched by Henry Zelones, OAM, JP Mayor, City of Armadale who officiated the evening and presented this years awards with President and MC Trish Halloran.
2018 Annual Art Exhibition Winners
1st prize Most Outstanding Artwork Award sponsored by ASA’s and Patron, Peter Risk - Winner was Gail Reid for her painting “Afterglow”
2nd Prize Most Outstanding Artwork Award sponsored by Subway, Armadale - Winner was Jenny Herbert for “Pretty Boy”
3rd Prize Most Outstanding Artwork Award sponsored by Oxlades Art Supplies - Winner was Geraldine Gustavino for “Regal”
ASA Best Watercolour Award - Winner Hanna Michalzik for “Golden Eagle”
ASA Best Dry Media Award - Winner Jane Trichet for “Sweet Treat”
Tony Buti MLA, Best Acrylic/Oil Award - Winner Vicky Alchin for “Dreamer”
Leesa Padget Artist, Best Mixed Media Award - Winner Aaron Bleasdale “Untitled”
APK Craft - Best Portraiture Award - Winner Debby Banks for “Hello”
The Art Scene Award - Winner Alexander Robinson for “Landscape”
Norvek Framers Award - Winner Catherine Kelley for “Eco Surprise”
Art & Craft World Award - Winner Vicky Alchin for “Out of the Mist”
The Manse Restaurant Award - Winner Anna Newbey for “Stare Down”
The People’s Choice Award - Winner Jane Trichet for “Curious”
This years Judges were well known local Perth Artists Leon Holmes and Stephanie Boyle. The judges commented on the high standard of artwork this year and felt honoured to be given the difficult task of choosing the winners.
ASA sponsors supported this years awards and congratulations to all our winners. The prizes this year were 1st prize Most Outstanding Artwork for 2018, Trophy and $700, 2nd prize $300 and 3rd prize $200.
